Introduced for March 2021, the Nike Air VaporMax Evo ‘Evolution of Icons’ trainer features a mash up design of classic Air Max styles from the past.
It’s crazy to think its 4 years since Nike first introduced the VaporMax. At first OG Air Max fans were a bit sceptical of the sheer size of ‘Visible Air’ (literally the whole sole unit) the shoe had to offer. 4 years later and the VaporMax has certainly earned its Swoosh stripes thanks to Virgil Abloh’s ‘The Ten’ from 2017, a collaboration style which currently has a resale value of around £600 In fact the VaporMax is still up there as one of the best selling Nike Air Max styles on the sneaker resale market from the last 12 months. Some Air Max trainers come and go but perhaps the VaporMax is already here to stay? For March 2021, Nike have now introduced the latest version of the futuristic looking silhouette with the Air VaporMax EVO ‘Evolution of Icons’ trainer.
Utilising the latest VaporMax Evo silhouette which marks the next chapter of VaporMax following its original release back in 2017. Courtesy of Nike cushioning designer, Zachery Elder, the VaporMax was the very first Air Max trainer to completely ditch the midsole and boasted a sole unit that was designed directly into the shoe with more visible Air than ever before. This latest mash up version features design inspiration from the Air Max 90, the Air Max 93, the Air Max 96, the Air Max Plus, the Tuned 99, and the Air Max 180.
The Air VaporMax Evo ‘Evolution of Icons’ trainer is now available from the AMT store from a range of retailers we work with. You can also subscribe to Air Max Tings & follow @airmaxtings to keep up to date with all the latest Air Max news, releases & drops.
