Nike continues the 30th anniversary celebrations with the Serengeti inspired AM90 Safari trainer for October 2020.
Safari prints and Nike Air Max have become some of the hottest Air Max releases over the last 20 years. ATMOS have had a lot to do with Serengeti inspired prints with the original Animal Pack from 2007, however it’s not just the Japanese sneaker store that have gone all out with Safari style. The Greater Manchester born streetwear & sneaker store, size?, have also introduced several Safari Air Max styles over the years. Those who know their 110’s from their 97’s will know the significance of the Safari print to the Air Max trainer. For October 2020 Nike have now introduced another celebratory trainer with the Nike Air Max 90 Safari trainer which continues the 30th birthday celebrations.
2020 marks the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 90 trainer, or the Nike Air Max 3 as it was originally known. Tinker Hatfield took visible air to the next level with the introduction of the signature TPU detailing throughout and the vibrant ‘infrared’ colourway. The AM90 has featured across a range of sought after collaborations over the years from the Duck Camo version with ATMOS to Virgil Abloh’s the Ten back in 2017.
For October 2020, Nike now introduce another Serengeti inspired silhouette with this latest Air Max Safari trainer. Highlights include OG inspired ‘Safety Orange’ detailing to the eye-stays, midsole & outsole. The Air Max branding to the sidewalls & heel is also given the safety orange treatment alongside a safari style print featuring across the leather & mesh uppers. Other features include safari print laces and of course the iconic AM90 midsole.
