The Nike Air Max 1 x DENHAM ‘Blue Void’ trainer puts a denim & suede spin on the classic running silhouette from Tinker Hatfield.

Amsterdam-based brand DENHAM is a premium-quality denim brand, founded by English jeanmaker Jason Denham in 2008. Denham was inspired by the spirit of the original blue jeans and now produces contemporary clothing, offering a range of mens and womenswear, from outerwear, bottoms and tops to accessories. The brand is influenced by the Far East and uses fabrics from the world’s best mills in Italy and Japan, aiming to offer its customers premium products. Now, the renowned denim brand has teamed up with Nike for the first time to create the Nike Air Max 1 x DENHAM ‘Blue Void’ trainer for September 2020.

The first pair from the collaboration, the Air Max 1 X DENHAM ‘Blue Void’ trainer is a new take on a classic silhouette, fashioning patchworked pieces of embroidered denim with layers of suede. The base and quarter of the shoe is dressed in a luxury lightweight dark blue denim with embroidered patterns in white, inspired by a Japanese stitching style called ‘Boro’, in true DENHAM style. The mudguard sports ‘blue void’ premium suede which also covers the heel in ‘vachetta tan’ with the Nike logo embossed on the heel.

The swoosh graces both sides of the shoe in white tumbled leather, finished with red contrast stitching, matching the red upper eyelets. The lining comes in white, along with the laces which are finished with unique wooden tips. A chevron style tongue, complete with navy blue leather piping and a tan leather badge with an embossed logo and the same red stitching as the swoosh, complete the upper. Underfoot, the midsole is in white rubber, with the same red accents continuing in the air bag and finally a brown gum outsole, complimenting the navy blue and tan. Concealed inside the shoe is a red insole with gold embroidered graphic of Nike’s Swoosh and DENHAM’s scissor logo (inspired by Denham’s first pair of tailoring scissors).
