Originally set to release for the now postponed Tokyo games & although the games aren’t happening yet, we’ll still be seeing the BAIT x Nike Air Max 95 Hidden Message trainer dropping this weekend. The exclusive colourway features an Olympic ring inspired upper and lace loops, showcasing bold hits of blue, green, red, yellow and black. Just like the Olympic Rings themselves, representing the five continents of the world.SHOP NIKE AIR MAX 95
The rainbow upper is complete with a white embroidered swoosh. Black mesh provides the base of the shoe with a black nylon tongue, topped with embroidered branding in red, silver and gold. The black continues onto the lining and leather heel tab, finished with a white Swoosh logo. The toe consists of contrasting white leather, blending into the white rubber midsole, finished with translucent air bubbles and a semi translucent black outsole, covering a subtle gold layer. But that’s not all, the rainbow upper is customisable, featuring a tearaway layer for you to reveal accents of gold, silver and bronze. With the metallic layer comes a subtly embossed collage print of different countries’ flags, plus, the once white swoosh is replaced with a shimmery one. What’s more, each pair’s metallic base is different, with the metallic underlay remaining a surprise.SHOP NIKE AIR MAX 95
This unique trainer is set to release alongside Air Force 1’s as well as Air Max 2090’s as part of the ‘Hidden Message’ pack, in celebration of the Olympic Games. The pack drops today exclusively from BAIT Japan. The 95’s are rumoured to retail for £145, a pretty regular price point for them which we expected to be higher for this iteration. A global release is set to follow from select Nike stockists later in the year however the date is yet to be confirmed.
